Understanding Grief

Caregivers experience grief related to caregiving and often ask, “Is this normal?” and “What can I expect?” This presentation is designed to help individuals answer these questions. The session helps participants recognize common grief reactions, identify positive ways to cope with loss and understand the importance of self-care during the grieving process.

Community Serves Caregivers is a support program that provides social and educational support for those caring for an adult family member or a child with a serious chronic condition. The Community Serves Caregivers meets the first and third Wednesday of each month from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Stephen R. Chapman Family Community Campus in St. Augustine.

Community Serves Caregivers is open to the public and free to attend. Space is limited and registration is encouraged. For more information or to RSVP, please call 904.407.6464.
