About Camp Healing Powers

Grieving the death of a loved one is difficult, especially for a child. Grieving children are likely to feel different and alone. Recognizing the needs to help children through the grieving process, Community Hospice & Palliative Care established Camp Healing Powers, a therapeutic camp open to any child ages 7 to 17 who is grieving the death of a loved one.

Camp activities are structured to help children identify and express their feelings while learning skills to help them navigate their grief journey in a safe, supportive, and fun environment. These activities are planned and led by mental health professionals who specialize in grief and bereavement.

Space is limited. Please call (904) 407-7001 for information or to schedule an appointment for a pre-camp assessment.
