October 8, 2026 (Fernandina Beach, Fla.) – The Foundation of Community Hospice & Palliative Care invites the community to enjoy an afternoon of live music, food, and pet-friendly fun at the annual Vets, Pets & Music Fest. Now in its third year in Fernandina Beach, this event raises funds to support programs that provide comfort, companionship, and dignity to patients and families receiving care through Community Hospice & Palliative Care.
The event will take place on Nov. 8, 2026, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Green Turtle Inn. It welcomes veterans, pet lovers, music enthusiasts, and community members for an afternoon of entertainment for a cause. Proceeds will benefit Community Hospice & Palliative Care’s veterans, Pet Peace of Mind®, pet therapy, and music therapy programs, ensuring these important services are available to patients and families throughout Nassau County.
Community Hospice & Palliative Care’s veterans program acknowledges the unique experiences and needs of veterans through veteran-to-veteran companionship, recognition ceremonies, assistance with VA benefits and specialized end-of-life care that honors their service. Pet Peace of Mind helps patients keep the companionship of their beloved pets by providing pet care assistance, supplies, veterinary support when available, and, when necessary, finding new loving homes for them. Pet therapy volunteers and their specially trained animals provide comfort, reduce stress and create meaningful moments of connection during visits with patients and families. Music therapy, led by board-certified music therapists, uses evidence-based interventions to help manage pain and anxiety, encourage emotional expression, support memory and communication, foster meaningful connections and provide comfort during some of life’s most challenging moments.
By attending Vets, Pets & Music Fest, community members help ensure these compassionate programs continue providing comfort, companionship, and support to patients and families throughout Nassau County.
