Community Hospice & Palliative Care has announced the appointment of Dr. Ellen Talos as director of medical operations. Talos brings a wealth of experience in family medicine and hospice care to her new role.
Before joining Community Hospice & Palliative Care, Talos served as a dedicated physician with the Haven Medical Group since June 2011, following a successful tenure with her private practice in family medicine at the Putnam Community Medical Center and is an affiliated clinical assistant professor at the University of Florida College of Medicine.
Talos’s commitment to excellence in hospice and palliative care is underscored by her 2019 election as a Fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She was named the 2009 Resident Teacher of the Year at Beaumont Hospital in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. She was also honored with the 2008 Beaumont Hospital SEMMES/Resident of the Year Award.
