Community Hospice & Palliative Care Foundation sends a very special thank-you to two extraordinary volunteers, Jessie Callison and her Golden Retriever service dog, Parson. Jessie and her faithful companion recently relocated from Jacksonville to
Jessie and Parson began volunteering with the Foundation in 2015 and Jessie’s inquisitive nature and dedication to helping others made her a superstar volunteer. No matter the job, from filing, organizing, or stuffing envelopes to helping out at our fundraising events, Jessie was ready to tackle it head-on with a laugh and a smile.
Parson, as friendly and polite as they come and always at Jessie’s side, was a welcome presence in the Foundation office. Although sad to see Jessie and Parson go, we’re excited for their new adventures. As a parting gift, Jessie donated a beautifully painted portrait of Parson that she created through the Pet Peace of Mind Paint Party fundraiser.
Parson's friendly face now hangs in the Portraits of Loyalty exhibit in the gallery hall near the Neviaser Foundation office. All of us in the Foundation offer our deepest gratitude and thanks to Jessie and Parson.
Our next Pet Peace of Mind Paint Party fundraiser is Friday, January 11, 2019. If you have experience with painting instruction and would like to volunteer at the party, please contact Foundation Development Assistant Betsy Miller at email@example.com.
