We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate pediatric palliative and hospice nurse to identify and coordinate patient/family needs and to provide supportive and preventative care to the complex chronically or terminally ill pediatric patient and their family unit. The nurse utilizes ongoing assessment, intervention, teaching, and advocacy skills to maximize patient comfort and to enhance the quality of life to the pediatric patient and family unit. This primary field nurse position reports to the Community PedsCare Manager.


Job Description: The in-home pediatric palliative hospice nurse will be responsible for case management of the patient and family to include the initial and ongoing assessment of patient needs, symptom management and care, with appropriate and ordered interventions completed, and teaching related to the disease process.


Job Requirements: Graduate from a diploma nursing program, current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida, current CPR certification, minimum of two (2) years experience in Pediatrics. Reliable transportation is required. AHCA (Agency for Health Care Administration) Level II screening is required.
