Medical Director Palliative Care - #5181
Hours: Full-time, Days, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5pm

Job Description: The Medical Director is responsible for directly providing hospital palliative care consultations and providing leadership over an interdisciplinary palliative team consisting of one or more ARNPs, social workers and chaplains. This position provides and assures expert palliative medical consultation and serves as a liaison between CPC, hospital attending physicians and community physicians. The Medical Director also provides education to hospital physicians and staff to promote the benefits of palliative medicine.
Job Requirements: Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy with two years' experience beyond board certification. Licensed to practice in the State of Florida. One year experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team. Willing to lead and/or participate in palliative education. Current State medical license and in good standing with medical board. Credentialed for full scope of practice at all hospitals and where CPC practices. Controlled substance license with current DEA number. Eligible or currently possess a Medicare/Medicaid NPI number. Excellent interpersonal and communications skill. Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) background screening required.
