Job Description:   The Medical Director is responsible for directly providing palliative care consultations in all available settings which could include inpatient, outpatient, nursing homes, assisted living, and home visits. Overseeing the medical extenders and providing direction to chaplains and social workers. This position provides and assures expert palliative medical consultation and serves as a liaison between CPC and the physician community. Secondarily provides leadership of medical programs and services to the organization in support of goals and mission.

Job Requirements:  Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy with two years' experience beyond board certification. Licensed to practice in the State of Florida. One year experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team. Willing to lead and/or participate in palliative education. Current State medical license and in good standing with medical board. Credentialed for full scope of practice at all hospitals and where CPC practices. Controlled substance license with current DEA number. Eligible or currently possess a Medicare/Medicaid NPI number. Excellent interpersonal and communications skill. Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) background screening required.
