When our music therapist, Carey Barwick, visits a patient, that is exactly what happens. The patients find themselves transported to another time. Music therapy can make the difference between withdrawal and awareness, between isolation and interaction, and between chronic pain and comfort.
Because we know it makes a difference in the lives of our patients and their families, music therapy is offered at no cost. Carey’s position at Community Hospice & Palliative Care is completely unfunded, meaning your donation to the Foundation, in support of music therapy, is the only way possible for us to provide this great program.
