Losing a loved one can be quite difficult, but with social interaction and physical activity, it may help ease some of those challenges you face with grief. To help you, Community Hospice & Palliative Care has created a social group called "Walk and Talk." This group is designed to promote physical health, social support, and a connection to nature.
Our main goal is to focus on social interaction. We will have various safe routes with activities such as, but not limited to, stretching exercises and scavenger hunts. This social group is a great tool to help grievers move forward literally and figuratively.
Led by our licensed bereavement counselors, these walks are ongoing and available to anyone who has experienced a loss. This group meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Click here for locations, dates and times.
Before attending your first group, please call Concetta Hillman, LCSW, ACHP-SW at 904-407-6191.
