As our population ages, more seniors and their families face the challenges of downsizing and decluttering their homes, often in preparation for a move to an apartment or assisted living community.
To help St. Johns County seniors, their caregivers and loved ones prepare for this important yet often difficult life transition, Community Hospice & Palliative Care has teamed up with An Marshall from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty to host a free two-part educational forum on downsizing, decluttering and avoiding their pitfalls.
The first 90-minute session will include a presentation of The 5 Steps to Downsizing Made Easy. Topics will include considerations before a move, local senior living options and how to tour them, tips for hiring professionals to help with the moving process and guidance on estate sales and auctions.
The second session, Decluttering Made Easy (this session), will provide you with practical solutions to let go of your possessions and find local resources to help you. Participants will receive a workbook to record action steps.
