Patient Care Administrator Job number: 1835 Hours: Full-time, 8:30am-5:00pm, M-F and as needed Job Description: Under the supervision of the Director of Inpatient Services, this position is responsible for the direct supervision of an interdisciplinary team which includes: nursing, social work and nurse assistant services. Position also coordinates the Chaplain and Volunteer services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, utilization review of costs and services ordered, hiring, supervision and evaluation of staff and coordination of team activities to ensure quality, cost effective patient care. Make recommendations and assists in formulation of team objectives, policies and plans. Job Requirements: Possession of a degree from a nursing program, two (2) years program or a Bachelor's degree in nursing, current licensure as Registered Nurse in the state of Florida, current CPR certification, three (3) years of clinical nursing experience, with at least two (2) years hospice nursing care, 1-2 years supervisory experience preferred, must be skilled at supervision of staff, working long irregular hours, effective written and oral communications, current state of Florida driver's license with driving record acceptable to agency insurance carrier.
