Latest News: Community Hospice Names Kenny Stevenson Director of Compliance JACKSONVILLE, Florida - Community Hospice of Northeast Florida has hired Kenny Stevenson as director of compliance.
Under the guidance of the chief compliance officer, Stevenson provides oversight and management of compliance regulatory issues and the quality assessment process improvement (QAPI) management program for the nonprofit organization.
Stevenson has spent more than a decade in the health care administrative industry. Prior to joining Community Hospice, he was a senior manager for First Coast Service Options, a leading Medicare administrator company based in Jacksonville. In that capacity, he worked with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) representatives to analyze, implement and monitor new regulatory requirements and legislation.
Stevenson’s background also includes three years as director of health operations for the AIDS Healthcare Foundation. He provided leadership and statewide oversight of disease management programs for managed care patients and providers in Florida. He evaluated and initiated improvements in processes, helped to develop a better organizational structure, and achieved state-mandated financial goals for the organization. For his contributions, Stevenson received the Dr. Norman Vincent Peale Possibilitarian Award.
He received his bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of South Alabama. Stevenson is an Alabama native and lives on Jacksonville’s Northside with his wife and son.
Established in 1979 as the first hospice program in Northeast Florida, Community Hospice of Northeast Florida helps nearly 1,000 patients live better with advanced illness each day in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties, through the support of more than 700 employees and nearly 900 volunteers. The nonprofit organization has served more than 48,000 children and adults—at home, in long term care facilities, hospitals and through four inpatient centers throughout Jacksonville. Community Hospice Foundation generates philanthropic and community support for unfunded and under-funded programs, including indigent hospice care, Community PedsCare, a pediatric palliative and hospice program, and the programs and services of the Charles M.
