Get Involved: Fundraising Events Special fundraising events for Community Hospice are coordinated through Community Hospice Foundation and raise funds for unfunded and under-funded care and programs. Fundraising events are an important source of support for Community Hospice and enable us to serve the needs of patients and families in Northeast Florida every day. These are just some of the special events in which you can participate: Halloween Doors & More – a gala of a different sort. This fun, family-centered event raises funds for Community PedsCare, a pediatric palliative and hospice program of Community Hospice focused on the specials needs of children with life-threatening conditions and their families. What began as a unique way to celebrate the legacy of the automobile and its tremendous impact on our lives is now one of the premier automotive events in the world. For more than 10 years, Community Hospice of Northeast Florida has been a proud beneficiary of the proceeds of this event. In early December of each year, Community Hospice presents a tree decorated with memorial ribbons and lights at the Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring. We also decorate the grounds with lights to represent the lives of all the people we have cared for through the years. Hardage-Giddens, a Dignity Memorial provider, is our partner for this event.
