Camp Healing Powers: Special Care for Bereaved Children. Recognizing the need to help children through the grieving process, Community Hospice started Camp Healing Powers in 1997.  The therapeutic weekend camp is open to any child aged 7 to 17 who is grieving the death of a loved one.  Licensed mental health professionals who specialize in grief and loss collaborate in the design of camp and lead camp activities that help children identify and express their feelings and learn skills to help them navigate through the grief journey.  For more information, please call 904.407.6222 or e-mail us. For volunteer opportunities, please go to the Volunteer Your Time section of this web site.

Candlelight Services of Remembrance. Community Hospice of Northeast Florida holds several services throughout the year to celebrate and honor the memory of those you have lost. Please join us for a spiritual program of liturgy, music and candlelight. Anyone in Northeast Florida who has experienced a loss is invited to attend and bring a picture or memento of your loved one to display on a Memory Table. For more information, please call 904.407.5001 or e-mail us.

Five Wishes Workshops. Community Hospice sponsors several events throughout the year to encourage families and their loved ones to talk about end-of-life care issues. At each event, Community Hospice professionals educate attendees about advance care planning. Our experts discuss topics including living wills; durable power of attorney; health care surrogates; do-not-resuscitate orders; and tips for starting the conversation with your physician and family members. To request a free copy of the Five Wishes living will, please call 904.407.7024 or e-mail us. For individuals who are not residents of Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau or St. Johns counties and who would like to order Five Wishes, please visit Aging with Dignity or call 888.5.WISHES.
