How can I make the home more accessible for the person I am caring for?

A few modifications can make a home safer for the person being cared for and make physical tasks easier for everyone. Some examples are adding wheelchair ramps into the house and grab bars in the bath, arranging furniture to provide more room, securing phone and electrical cords to walls and other modifications. The Area Agency on Aging of Northeast Florida offers more suggestions that can help make daily living easier.
