Individual and Family Counseling
Community Hospice bereavement counselors provide individual, family and children's counseling to help those who have experienced the death of a loved one and who may need support or guidance in dealing with the grief associated with that loss.
Therapeutic Grief Support Groups
Community Hospice support groups provide a safe place for you to explore and express your grief in a comfortable setting, and bond with others who have experienced a similar loss.
Community Hospice offers daytime and evening therapeutic grief support groups throughout the year. The groups are led by our professional grief counselors and meet on the same day/night of the week for eight consecutive weeks. To see what groups are currently offered view our Events Calendar.
To learn whether individual, family counseling or a support group might be right for you, please call 904.407.7001 to schedule an appointment.
Group participants often tell us that they feel like their group has become a family. “Knowing that I’m not alone and being able to talk freely helped me on the road to healing.”
New Grief: Good Grief
New Grief: Good Grief is a program for the newly bereaved designed to help identify common grief reactions and to learn that healing is possible after the death of a loved one. This free workshop provides grief education and emotional support within a safe, secure environment. New Grief: Good Grief workshops are most helpful for those who have experienced a loss within the last 90 days, and are at least 18 years old. Workshops are held throughout the year at various locations.
